Just signed up for yet another Linux Academy membership. This will actually be the third time that I’ve paid for one, but I’m pretty set on learning as much as I can to prepare myself for the world of DevOps and System Adminstration. I’ve got a few courses planned out for starters, and then I’ll continue to plan more out as I go along. But here’s what I was thinking about starting with:
- Getting a Linux Essentials certification
- Taking a few quick training DevOps courses on
- Vagrant, Puppet, Docker
- Developing with Python
In the meantime, I’ve also been working with Ruby again. This post was created with a script I made on the fly that will automatically generate a Markdown file that takes user input for the title and adds today’s date. It then inserts the Front Matter with the same title and date, and some additional global variables.
I have a few more plans for the script, but first I need to clean up the code a bit and re-work a few things. But I’m pretty happy with it so far. I’ll post a link to it once I’m satisfied with the results.
Still on a metal kick lately, which usually happens around this time of year each year. Today’s album is a favorite of mine from high school; Wolverine Blues by Entombed. Sometimes considered death and roll, the guitars are heavy and mid-paced, and full of grooves.
