Windows faring

So I listen to the podcast ShopTalk with Dave Rupert, and Chris Coyier, pretty much every day on my way to work. Last Friday, I was going back over some previous episodes that I missed, and landed on one where Dave mentioned switching to a Windows machine to try development on. I thought, “ya know, I’ve never tried that either.” So spent the better half of the weekend—probably more time than I should have; getting a laptop with Windows 10 installed on it. Let’s just say, that was a lengthy process on its own.

Anyways, by Sunday I had a working laptop. I didn’t realize how easy it was to install all of my favorite tools: Ruby, Python, Sass, Jekyll, etc. All seems to be running smoothly. This week, I’m going to try to throw together a quick project with it and really take it for a spin.

In the meantime, I’ve been ramping up for Mod94, so I’ve been listening to Goto80 a bunch. Classic chiptune,, 8-bit, feel with modern production. I’m pretty sure he uses Amiga mod trackers of some sort. Give it a go:
